This policy explains what personal information I collect when you visit usamacodes.com or get in touch, how I use it, and the choices you have. I keep it short because I collect very little.
This website is run by Usama Tanveer, a software engineer and website developer based in Sargodha, Pakistan. I am responsible for the personal information collected through this site. You can reach me at usama@mangodiv.com.
Information you send me. When you use the contact form or email me, I receive your name, email address, business name, website and whatever you choose to write in your message.
Newsletter sign-ups. If you subscribe to new articles, I collect your email address.
Usage information. Like most websites, this site collects basic technical data such as your browser type, device, pages visited, the site that referred you, and an approximate location based on your IP address. This is collected through analytics tools and server logs.
Cookies. The site uses a small number of cookies to keep it working and to measure how it is used. See "Cookies" below.
I do not collect payment details on this website, and I do not knowingly collect sensitive information.

I do not sell your personal information, and I do not use it for advertising profiles.
I process your information because you asked me to (replying to your enquiry), because I have a legitimate interest in running and improving this site, or because you gave consent (newsletter and non-essential cookies). You can withdraw consent at any time.
I only share information with service providers that help me run this site, and only as much as they need:
Website hosting: a managed WordPress hosting provider
Email: Google Workspace
Analytics: Google Analytics
Newsletter: an email newsletter service
Form and spam protection: Elementor Forms and reCAPTCHA
If you go on to work with my agency, MangoDiv, I may share your enquiry with the MangoDiv team so they can help you. I will also share information if the law requires it.
I am based in Pakistan and some of the services above store data in other countries, including the United States. When your information is transferred, I rely on the safeguards those providers offer.
Enquiries: up to 2 years after our last contact, unless we work together
Client records: as long as needed for the project and for legal and tax purposes
Newsletter: until you unsubscribe
Analytics data: according to the analytics provider's retention settings
Essential cookies make the site and its forms work.
Analytics cookies help me understand how visitors use the site. Where the law requires it, these only run after you accept them.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work, though some features may not.

To make a request, email usama@mangodiv.com. I will reply within 30 days. If you are in the UK or EU, you can also complain to your local data protection authority. California residents have the right to know, delete and opt out of the sale of personal information. I do not sell personal information.
The site uses HTTPS, and access to your information is limited to me and the service providers listed above. No website can be fully secure, but I take reasonable steps to protect what you share.
This site is for businesses and is not meant for children under 16. I do not knowingly collect their information.
This site links to other websites, such as LinkedIn, Fiverr and MangoDiv. Their privacy policies apply when you visit them.
If I change this policy, I will update the date at the top of this page.
